As we know a pixel is a square box which we usually see after zooming the  image . That pixel decides the  quality of image to a large extent.

What usually other companies do reduce they reduce the size of pixels and make us fool that the camera is of 48  megapixel but usually it is of 12 megapixel only .

Let's understand with example : A vegetable cartoon can contain 12 cabbage but if they will reduce the size of cabbage and will provide you 48 cabbages .They will provide 4  small cabbages in place of 1 big cabbage in this way they will fool us and says that we are providing more in less prize.  

In this way mobile company fools us buy reducing the size of a pixel they say that we are providing you 48 megapixel and 64 megapixel  camera at the cheapest  cost .And we also buy it because we don't know the logic behind it.
